Welcome to the Alternative Economics (AltX) website. This site is dedicated towards an economic system that is non-conventional, a system that is not based on interest.

Mr. Khaled Sultan is a financial professional with a background in manufacturing, technology, oil & gas, mining and equity research. He has 17 years of industry experience, having most recently focused on equity research and investment analysis.

Mr. Sultan is currently working as a financial professional with one of Canada’s largest banks. Prior to his current role, Mr. Sultan worked with one of Canada’s top five investment banks covering the precious metals sector with a focus on gold equities. Prior to that, he was in charge of the launch and overall management of a Toronto-based start-up firm dedicated to providing research and due diligence solutions to investors in the energy and materials sectors in Canada. He has also held key leadership positions at the world’s largest oil and gas producer and its Canadian affiliate. Mr. Sultan started his career in the manufacturing sector working for a leading provider of supply chain solutions.

Mr. Sultan’s qualifications include an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designations.

Mr. Sultan grew up and went to school in London. After completing his undergraduate education in the forest city, he moved to Toronto to pursue the opportunity to work with some of the top multinational firms in the country. After attaining valuable experience in Toronto, he decided to come back home and settle with his family in this great city and is proud to call London his home once again.

Mr. Sultan sits on the boards of a number of non profit and charitable organizations both in London and Toronto, including the London Community Foundation, Merrymount Children’s Centre, the World Parkinson’s Program, and the Muslim Association of Canada. He was also involved with a number of local and national non-profit organizations and initiatives including Princess Margret’s Walk to End Breast Cancer, Make A Wish Canada, and Meals on Weals, as well as Junior Achievement of Canada and Junior Chamber International.

Mr. Sultan is married and has three children.
